Third grade students learned that all water that exists on Earth has been here in one form or another, since Earth's beginning! Students illustrated the different components of the water cycle. We will be combining all of these illustrations to create a grade level display!

Inventions Taking Form

Today was an exciting day for 3G. Most of the students' inventions began to take form!!! Students were sewing, cutting, measuring, experimenting with materials, and re-designing on the fly. I don't want to give too much away (hence no photos), but the excitement for the Invention Convention is brewing!!

3G Inventors

Today 3G students brainstormed everyday products that could use improving. Students began designing inventive solutions to products like the pencil grip, the paper napkin, and the infamous Capri Sun juice pack. Ask your child about their impending invention!

"Necessity is the mother of invention." -Plato

Today, the 3K inventors identified design problems they encounter in their lives such as tree limbs that are too high to climb, clothing that easily falls off hangers, and Lego pieces that get stuck together and can't be pried apart. Next, each student began to create a design solution or invention to solve his or her individual problem. After Thanksgiving break we will be in full gear, racing toward the Invention Convention!
